About Paros

Paros lies in the center of the Cyclades island complex and has daily connections to Athens and the neighboring islands. It is a perfect holiday destination because it combines tranquility and fun, pristine beaches with intense nightlife.

Beaches
Paros is surrounded by beaches. At any point on the island there is a beach that can satisfy even the most demanding of visitors. Some of the most famous beaches are Kolympithres with its lunar rock formations, Golden beach where you can enjoy waterspouts and is the perfect windsurfing arena. For the clubbing enthusiasts, there is the all day club at Punda beach. Faragas and Santa Maria are ideal beaches for families. Close to Parikia you can find the beaches of Martselo and Krios (although they are accessible by car, its worth to take the wooden boat trip). The largest beach on the West side of Paros is Parasporos, with its white sands and big waves during August, its a really fun beach.

Sightseeing
The entire island is a landmark. Historical building are the Church of a hundred doors, the venetians castle ruins in Parikia and Naousa which used to protect the island from pirates. its worth taking a walk in the cobbled streets of the old villages of Paros. All around the island there are scattered whitewashed chapels and ancient temples. Depending on the time you visit, you might be able to see the butterfly valley, or tour the newly discovered archaeological site of Despotico island.

Nightlife
Paros is well-known for its nightlife. The choices are plenty. You can enjoy a drink in the many cafe-bars on the coast of Parikia, and in the other villages, or you can spend your night in the fishing port of naousa, which is full of bars and clubs.
